The Worldview Press is
currently developing anthropologically informed multi-cultural books,
magazines and resource materials for children and adults. Our mission
is to help create better understanding of cultural lifeways and
patterns found throughout the world. The Worldview Press is
a tax-exempt 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation. We also publish the weekly online magazine, The San Diego Participant Observer and the online resource site, A World of Cultures. Our first series of books is Cultures in the Classroom. The goal of the series is to introduce young readers to a wide range of contemporary world cultures. The Cultures in the Classroom series will portray life in other cultures through strong storytelling as opposed to dry exposition. Each story will revolve around the adventures, journeys, exploits and experiences of a young character. Cultures in the Classroom books will not only seek to create a factual understanding of other cultures, but they will also endeavor to lay the foundations for greater empathetic understanding, highlighting the idea that beneath the formidable complexity and vast diversity of world cultures lies a common humanity.
